Common Extras

A few small customizations put in the same plugin. These are things I found came in handy on different servers. This was made years ago but was recently discovered to be missing from the page so I'm adding it back upon request. There may be other plugins that have some of these pieces, I've seen some of these pages separately on various servers.

Contains:

Registrar Page Example

Created during multiple sessions at various PSUG events

The plugin alters the demographics page to become a registrar page. Various sections were added as chosen by the classes and include:

PTP Alert List Report

Created at PSUG National West 2022 by request

Adds a report to PTP that allows a teacher to see all the stock alerts for any 1 section. If a teacher attempts to print the page it will not print medical alerts.

This was done in the last 5 minutes of class and doesn't look perfect but gets the job done.

**Note: $j bingo no longer attainable via this report, that stays just in the class

Visual Bulletin

Created in the Putting It All Together class at the end of PSUG National West 2022

Adds a visual demonstration of what the bulletin will look like with markup. Was requested as a way to help those who don't know HTML understand what the users will see when they use the buttons to mark up the bulletin text.

**NOTE: This has only been tested on a single language as we put it together quickly. Has not been tested on multi-language bulletins and likely will need an enhancement to work in that situation.

Putting It All Together - Conditional Home Screen Message

In certain situations you may want to give users directions on how to search. This example can be used (and edited) to put in a message on the home screen whenever the user is searching for students.

Will work on the faculty search and contacts search pages when the user switches to students.

Made as an example, please change the actual message.

Example of:
- page fragments
- feedback messages (feedback-note specifically)
- moving an object with jQuery
- conditional show/hide with jQuery while waiting for Angular
