Comments

I installed this plugin and a Data Manager informed me he could see students on these reports from other schools. Is there something I need to do to restrict access to the current school? Thank you.

We mass changed our student emails this year. It used to be @student.xxx.org and now it's just @xxx.org. When I run the Fees List report, it shows their old email in there, not the new one. I did an export from the Student Email table and all the entries in that table are the correct ones. How is the old email address showing still?

Is the correct updated email being display on the Student Email screen?

Yes it is. That's part of why I'm confused. All the emails show up correctly with the new domain in Data Export Manager as well.

Select a student that appears on the fees report.
Navigate to the Student Email page.
Manually change (temporarily) and save the student' s email address.
Check to see if the correct email address now appears on the fees report.

Manually changing it made the email show correctly in the fees report

The outcome you described would indicate two things.

1. The fees report is properly displaying the student email.

2. You need to confirm that your previous import of student emails was completed properly and the data stored in the correct location. Once this process is successfully completed, the fees report will display the correct student emails.

We bulk changed the student emails through Data Import Manager and the emails were confirmed updated on the student's Student Email page. However, when we go and run this fees report, it still shows the old email address. If i go into the student' Student Email page and change it from the correct email address to something else, the fees report now shows that just changed email address.

For example:
1. old email in student email field was jdoe@student.domain.com
2. new email in student email field that was bulk imported is now jdoe@domain.com
3. student's student email page confirms import worked sucessfully showing jdoe@domain.com
4. run fees report for this student, shows his email is still jdoe@student.domain.com
5. go back to student's student email page to check email address, it show correctly at jdoe@domain.com
6. manually change email address on student email page to jdoe1@domain.com
7. run fees report again, student's email shows up as jdoe1@domain.com

Fees report is displaying properly, but only if the email is changed manually, not through bulk import.

I have confirmed through data export manager that our previous import of student emails was completed properly and the data stored in the correct location.

Thank you for your continued feedback on this issue.

I have not been able to replica the issue you describe in any of the 20+ school districts we support. I will continue to investigate.

Please download the recently updated PSCB - Custom Reports (Student Data Verify) v1.5 plugin.

Run the Email / Physical / Mailing Address report and confirm if the imported Student Email addresses are displayed correctly.

Thanks,

Rob Staats

I did what you said. Emails show up with old email in your verification report, but emails show up correctly when I go to a student and click "student email" on the left side in the more2.html window. I took pictures so you can see, but don't know see how to upload them.

I also uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it, still having the same issue.
