PDS Locker Management System

The PDS Locker Management System now has a web site with more information about the system, including some screenshots at http://www.powerdatasolutions.org/lockers/index.html   You may have seen postings about the system on PowerSource or PSUG, or a demo of it at the PSUG-MI Summer Academy, and the new web site gives you a chance to learn more about it, or if you have seen it, a site to show others at your school screenshots of what you saw..

The system itself is a set of custom pages that lets you manage lockers within PowerSchool in a more robust way than the two built-in student fields.  It allows you to track all your lockers and add a combination pool to each one.  The system will then track the current combination and you can change the sequence for just one locker or a group at any time.  It also allows you to mass assign lockers to students or you can just go to the Modify Info page and choose a locker for a student and it will automatically fill in the combination.

The screenshots at the web site will show you pictures of the parts mentioned above, and be sure to check the FAQ section on the site for common questions and pricing information.  If you're going to the PSUG-NE conference in early August, we'll be happy to demo it there for you.  We also do demos of it via conference calls and screen sharing, so if you want to set up a demo for your staff, just let us know.   To schedule a demo or ask any questions regarding the system, email us at lockers@powerdatasolutions.org.

demo at conference

Will you be showing this at the PSUG_NE conference next week?
It would be neat to see.

Just an update - we'll be doing two demo's at the conference - one at 4 pm on Monday and the other at 4 pm on Wednesday.

RE: demo at conference

Jen,

I think so, but it won't be a session like we had at PSUG-MI. Rather it may just be at the vendor session or if that doesn't come about, just track me down at the conference and I can demo it for you.

Matt
