Comments

When I run the Course Request Tally - I get no results. When I run the Student Request Tally - I get results. I'm not sure what I'm missing. We have the current versions for PSCB Reports. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is anyone else having an issue with the Future Year Course Request Tally? All the other reports work, but this one does not pull anything. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions. All the requests appear in the Student Request Tally, but only one course request for one student appears in the Course Request Tally. I don't even have to click the submit button, it automatically appears. I have pulled the student's DDE Course Requests and can find no difference in the settings. This report would be a great help if I can get it to work. I have even deleted and replaced the plugin twice.

Run the Course List report and confirm that the "Terms Offered" field has been populated correctly for all courses in PowerScheduler.

Any chance of getting the Student Course Request Letter from the old CRB added to this list of reports?

Malissa,

PSCB has no plans at this time to update the CRB Student Course Request Letter. I will add this request to the PSCB future projects list.

We currently have an alternative option you can consider. The PSCB - Customization (Student Requests Future Year) plugin is student custom page that the lists the student requests and recommendation for the future year. The page can be Mass Printed for a selected group of students if you have the AET Mass Print Student Screen 3.3 plugin installed.

Hi,
I added a course recommendation from the teacher side to see how the report views on the admin side. It did not pull the course recommendation I made. There may be an error in the coding. Thanks!

Is there a way to see recs for students not enrolled in a course with that teacher currently?

Not with current reports in this bundle.

Hi,
I am logged in as a student, I wanted to see how it looks on their end and to make a video to help them select their classes. With customizations on, I cannot see it, but with them off I can. I am not sure if it is this set of reports on another that would cause this issue. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot or is this something you need to fix in the coding? Thanks!

1. Confirm that you have installed the PSCB - Custom Public Portal v2.3 plugin.

2. In PowerScheduler confirm that you have Enable the grade level student registration screen for the PowerSchool Student and Parent Portal.

3. Navigate to: Start Page > School Setup > Parent/Student Access > CPP Pages Settings. Confirm that Student Schedule Requests preference is set to “Edit”.

All 3 are updated, the 3rd was not checked off. Now when I click class registration, I see a blank screen. Only the course catalog button is visible.

Hi, We just ran the course recommendation report, when using the Recommended Course Name filter for one of our courses, the filter is off. If I select "No PE", the courses below do not all say "No PE". This only happens for that one course. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Hi Can we please add Department for this report. Allowing department heads the ability to review all of their course requests would help them make determinations of overall course availability. It would help them answer questions on potentially opening or closing sections based on the overall enrollment in the department. Thank you!

Department will be included in the next release of the report.

Hello,

I noticed that the course recommendations report is showing the same recommendation for each student twice, even though the teacher only recommended them once. We used the "Split and Commit" function this year when committing our schedule, creating two semester-long sections for each year-long course. Could this be the reason the double recommendations are showing up in the report? Or is there possibly another reason? and a fix?

Joseph Albert

The "Split and Commit" function is most likely the reason for the duplicates. I will investigate a fix.

Awesome, thank you!

Hi,
So I ran the Student Scheduled Requests to see how many student selected one of our classes (5 students did). BUT when I ran the Course Request Tally the course is not there. Can you please advise what I can do to fix or maybe somethings wrong on the back end? Thanks!

Run the Course List report and confirm that the "Terms Offered" field has been populated correctly for all courses in PowerScheduler.

Thank you, that worked! This is a first year using the scheduler fully, we were previous using pen and paper, so a lot of this set up is new for us. Having these reports helped me push them to stop doing that. Thank you!
