Comments

Thank you so very much!!

I have installed the PSCB Custom Reports (Contacts) however I am having the same issue that it doesn't show in my navigation menu. I checked my admin_nav_menu_left_css.txt file however I have 3 files which are: admin_nav_menu_left_css.PSCB_AttendanceEnrollment.leftnav.footer.txt
admin_nav_menu_left_css.mba_medLink.leftnav.footer.txt
and the original:
admin_nav_menu_left_css.txt

Can anyone give me advice on which one to modify so that I can get the PSCB Custom Reports (Contacts) to show?

Thanks!

You need to also install and enable the following two plug-ins.

PSCB - Custom Reports (_Home Page)
PSCB - Base Resources

They are installed but still not showing ... Any other ideas?

You may have a customized 'admin_nav_menu_left_css.txt' file that is preventing the PSCB - Custom Reports from appearing.

Go to CPM and check to see if a customized version of the file exists.

I have two - one is customized "admin_nav_menu_left_css.mba_medLink.leftnav.footer.txt " and the other is not customized "admin_nav_menu_left_css.txt"
Would it be the customized version causing the issue?

Do you see this file in the wildcards folder?

'admin_nav_menu_left_css.PSCB_Reports.leftnav.footer.txt'

PSCB Development

No - I only have:
admin_nav_menu_left_css.mba_medLink.leftnav.footer.txt
admin_nav_menu_left_css.PSCB_AttendanceEnrollment.leftnav.footer.txt
admin_nav_menu_left_css.txt

You are missing the "admin_nav_menu_left_css.PSCB_Reports.leftnav.footer.txt" file.

This would indicate that the PSCB - Custom Reports (_Home Page) plugin has not been installed and enabled.

Download the plugin and install/enable. You should then see the PSCB Custom Reports link on the left navigation panel.

This is great! Working now and thank you!

I installed the contacts plugin but the tab did not appear in under the Custom Reports Tab. I enabled the plugin and I have the Custom Reports Bundle Base version 4.2.1 installed. Am I missing something?

This would indicate that the PSCB - Custom Reports (_Home Page) plugin has not been installed and enabled.

Download the plugin and install/enable. You should then see the PSCB Custom Reports link on the left navigation panel.

You also need to install the PSCB - Base resources plugin.
The Custom Reports Bundle Base version 4.2.1 contains resources used for the old PDS CRB bundles.

When choosing the Contacts - Duplicates option, I get no results although the screen indicates Total Records: 1, but no record is displayed. Is the duplicates option working?

How does this report calculate the duplicate contacts? My report is blank even when run from the district level!

The report lists all duplicate contacts that are displayed on the student's Contacts page.

Check to see if you can find a student that has duplicate contacts listed.

What PowerSchool version are you currently using?

We just upgraded to v19.11.0.2. I am a duplicate contact on my both of my children's records. I am on their Contacts screen with my name twice, one with work email, one with personal email and also twice with my work email, once with my name and once with No Name as the name..

Run the report at the District Office level.

I clicked All at the district level to make 42534 students my current selection. PSCB Custom Reports > Contacts > Contacts - Duplicate Contacts > Current selection (42534) = No Duplicate Contacts. I just randomly thought to do a query of last_name=my last name at the LEA level to bring up my children (one at an elementary/one at a middle) and my niece at a high school and was able to get results??

What version of PowerSchool is installed on your server?

Our state - North Carolina - just upgraded to v19.11.0.2

We have the same issue with some of our North Dakota schools. It appears to be an issue with our large schools that are on a server array. For the districts that are on a single server, it works fine. We are on version 19.11.0.2.1407804

Thanks for sharing this info with us. I'm not sure what PSCB can do to address the server array issue, but we will investigate a solution.

i have the same issue with no duplicates showing, the student list does show duplicates, but the duplicates list is blank, both at school level and DO. hosted by PS and at version 19.11.0.2

The duplicate contacts list is generated on the matching of contact names. If you are listed as "No Name" that will not generate a match and thus will not be included in the report results.

Thank all so much for this report. It is super helpful. I am trying to run the mailing list under contact and the home address pulls out but the column for mailing address is empty. Where we live 98% of our student/parent population has a PO Box. Any help with getting this to display would be appreciated. Marta Ellsworth, Eagle CO

The report displays the contact's primary email address.

If the the primary box for the email address is not checked, the email address will not appear on the report.

Hi I'm still trying to figure out how to get the mailing address to pull in the "Student Contact Mailing List" report instead of the physical address. Any chance of getting a second report filter option of home or mailing when running this report? Thanks for all the awesome reports you provide us. Marta Ellsworth

The Student Contact Mailing List report displays the Physical Address, Mailing Address and Primary Email Address that has been entered for each contact.

If any of the addresses do not display, it would indicate that the information has not been entered for the individual contact.

After entering all address information for each contact, the report columns can be filtered for the type of address you want.

Hi Rob when running this report only the physical address displays. The mailing address is empty however 95% of our contacts have a PO Box for their mailing address and none of them display.

Select a Student.
Navigate to the student Contacts page.
Click on a Contact Name.
Navigated to the address section.
Confirm that a physical and mailing address has been added for the contact.

Note: The report will display the addresses entered for each contact.

Hi Rob out contacts contain a PO Box those aren't missing on the contact page for a parent. It doesn't pull. Only the physical address pulls onto the report. Sorry to be a pain. Marta

Select a Student.
Navigate to the student Contacts page.
Click on a Contact Name.
Navigated to the address section.

Send a screenshot of the addresses displayed on this screen,

Thanks

Hi Rob is there any update on the mailing addresses not pulling into the contacts report to include it?

Thanks
Marta Ellsworth

We have discovered the issue with this report. An updated version will be published by 3/15/20.

I can't thank you all enough for fixing this report! This is going to be so helpful for our district.

We love this report but are wondering why (when a contact has only one phone number) it populates the second phone number column and not the first? The first phone number column is blank (not set). This does not happen all of the time that there is only one phone number, just sometimes. Do you know why?

Sorry, but we were unable to duplicate the issue you described. We will continue to investigate.

Hello,
Has this been updated? Last change is 3/10 but you said above you will release a new version on 3/15.
Also, I am under the impression that these reports in the bundle are for v12 contacts and not for the old contacts. Is that correct?

The PSCB - Custom Reports (Contacts) 1.1 is latest version. We are still investigating the issue where no duplicate contacts appear in some instances. This reports bundle is only compatible with the new unlimited contacts setup and versions 12.x, 19.x and 20.4.

I have some buildings that it will pull data for, and others that pull nothing. Some will pull if I select all students first, but some that still pull nothing. This really needs to work from District Office, and it pulls nothing there, with or without a current selection. I have the most recent versions of the report, base, etc., and the most recent PS version.

Does your current PowerSchool installation use a Server Array?
