This is such a fabulous plugin...thank you so very much for the creation and the share...very grateful.

My attendance is not pulling in my Middle School when it is pulling in my High School. Any suggestions on where to look at the MS setup to correct this issue?

Thank you,
Deb McMullen

Deb,

I would like to assist you in reviewing your Middle School setup. If interested, please send your contact information to pscb.development@gmail.com and we can schedule a conference call.

I have reports, from our custom report bundle, that are not pulling data from second semester classes. We can pull the data for any of our semester 1 classes but nothing after Christmas. Two things have occurred since Christmas. The first is that we moved all teachers from PowerSchool Gradebook to PowerTeacher Pro. The second change has been the upgrade that we did to our system during Spring Break. We are now using version 19.1 of PowerSchool. Please advise as to what to do.

thanks

Dave

What specific reports bundle plugins have you installed?

Custom Reports Bundle 4.1.1

David M. Hill

The Custom Reports Bundle 4.1.1 is no longer supported by the original PDS developers. The bundle is not compatible with Powerschool versions 12.x, 19.x or 20.4. You need to install the PSCB Custom Report bundles.

I assumed that may be the case. I'm new to this issue of bundles and plugins. Can you advise me on how to obtain the PSCB Custom Report Bundles? Thanks

Dave

David M. Hill

All PSCB Custom Report Bundles are available for download at PowerData Solutions.

My Technology Director uploaded the updated plugins for PSCB - Custom Reports (Grading) and PSCB - Custom Reports (Misc.). We made sure that the box was checked for both, and that the old plugin was unchecked. When I go to Custom Reports, the old plugin reports are still showing, but when you click on them you get an error message since they are unchecked. The new plugins do not show up. What do we need to do in order to get the new plugins to show and function?

thanks

Dave

David M. Hill

You need to "delete" the old plugins. Unchecking/Disabling the plugins does not remove the old files that are conflicting with PSCB Custom Reports plugins.

OK. So we only updated two plugins; Misc, and Grading. I deleted the old Misc plugin, but the new Misc plugin did not appear. Is there a new "Bundle" package that I need to download to make this work? I did not attempt deleting the Grading plugin as I wasn't sure on what direction to go. Please advise.
Thanks
Dave

David M. Hill

PSCB Custom Reports bundles require the installation of the following plugins.

PSCB - Base Resources 3.0
PSCB - Custom Reports (_Home Page) v2.0

After installing and enabling the plugins, you will see the PSCB Custom Reports link in left navigation menu on the PowerSchool start page.

Hi Rob,
Judging by what you wrote above, it is not possible to use both CRB and PSCB? I have a school that does not want to lose access to some of the reports in the Grading bundle in CRB but I would like to upgrade to PSCB.
Thanks,

John Cough
Maine AOS 93

PSCB has updated nearly all of the previously published CRB reports to use the the PSCB format. Send me the names of the missing CRB grade reports you want to be included in the PSCB bundles.

Will the parent portal report card be available soon?

The Parent Portal report card is schedule for release on June 10th.

We have successfully loaded PSCB - Custom Reports that we needed. We have been looking at the various reports in the PSCB Custom Reports (Grading) and realize that some of the reports have changed. Do you offer any documents or videos for how to best utilize these reports? Would love to be able to educate my principals on how to better use this information.
Thanks
Dave

David M. Hill

Sorry. PSCB does not provide tutorial or instructional videos for the PSCB customization. Staff training is the responsibility of the district using the plugins.

Thank you for your reply. I understand with upgrades there will be changes. One of the reports that principals liked in Grading 4.1.1 was the Teacher pass rate dashboard. Does the latest version have anything similar?

David M. Hill

The Teacher pass rate dashboard is on the PSCB enhancement list.

--
Rob Staats
PSCB Development

Rob

Is the PSCB Enhancement List a separate plugin?

David M. Hill

The PSCB Enhancement List is a database we keep of PSCB user requests for report additions and modifications

Rob

How do I get the PSCB Enhancement List added to our PSCB Grading?

Dave

David M. Hill

As items on the PSCB enhancement request list are completed they are published to the general public. PSCB does not offer personalized customizations for school districts.

Good Morning,

Can the report cards be printed and if so in batches for student files?

Thank you,

Hi, also is there a way to upload images to the report card or personalize formatting and adding comments? For example, the school logo? Thanks!

PSCB is looking at options for adding a school logo and mass printing for a selected group of students.

--
Rob Staats

Hello - is the option of adding a logo still being considered? Thanks so much for this report card. So much better than other options out there.

Thanks,

Adding a school logo option is on the PSCB enhancement list, but adding this option is not scheduled for the near future.

Good Morning. Will a standards-based report card be considered?

Thank you!

A Standards Based Report Card is currently under development. Target date for publication is 6/30/20.

Great, thank you!

First of all this plugin is awesome! I just have one question. We use the "exclude from transcript/report card" setting to keep some of our courses from appearing on our report cards. This plugin is not taking that into consideration, those courses are showing on this report card. Any suggestions on how to keep these courses from showing on the report card?

Thanks for bringing this item to our attention. The "exclude from transcript/report card" filter will be added to the next release of the plugin.

None of my grades are showing up. I am entering Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 as my reporting terms and I have display percent and display grades checked. Is there something else I must put in Report Card - Grading Terms besides Q1?

Confirm that you have stored grades for Q1. The report card displays grades from the stored grades table.

--
Rob Staats
PSCB Development

Thanks. I had not stored grades. Let me try that.

Hello,

Is there a way to hide the honor roll section? We do not have that information in PS and have it unchecked in the settings, but the headings still appear on the report card.

Thanks,

Thank you!

One other issue I'm having is that when I use the mass print option, the report card goes all the way to the right edge of the screen with no margin. I'm able to correct for it by using custom margins when printing, but this doesn't happen when I just print an individual report card.

The Mass Print plugin is published by AET. The page formatting in this plugin is not controlled by any PSCB customization.

You will need to continue to modify you page setup settings to get the results you want.

This is really, really great. I like it a lot. Just one question, how would I remove the columns and the data for the Course absences and tardies?

Navigate to the following location:
Start Page > School Setup > PSCB Traditional Report Card Setup

Under Course Information / Display. Set the preferences for:
Meeting Absences
Meeting Tardies
Credits

--
Rob Staats
PSCB Development

Thanks, Rob! I was just wondering if there was a way to make the columns for Abs and Tar next to each course go away. Right now it says "0" for meeting (whether I set the preference to display or not) but is displaying daily attendance correctly at the top, because we use daily attendance. Thanks for your help.

The next release of the plugin will have an option to hide the Class Attendance columns for absent and tardy.

Where is it calculating the Days Present and Days Enrolled from? Our numbers are not accurate. They appear to be pulling from EntryDate/ExitDate, rather than EntryDate/Current Date. Would be helpful if the numbers reflected days present and days enrolled as of the date it runs, YTD, rather than total full year, since that's only accurate after the year is over.

The next release of the plugin will display Present and Enrolled totals based on YTD.
