Hi Rob,
this is the best plug-in I have ever used!! Thank you very much!!!
I just wondering is it possible to print the image added to the report card? or any suggestions or tips? Really appreciated that.

Sorry - PSCB Development has no plans to add a print image option to the report card.

If change to previous year, the report card will display grades for the year chosen. Beware the grade level displayed will be the student's current grade level.

Hello, it seems that the Daily Attendance Term by Term totals at the the report don't always match the YTD attendance totals. Sometimes they are different by a decimal place (or two) of a day. Others are bang-on correct. Not sure what could be causing the differences... checked FTE and Track matched with Calendar and all appears to be correct. Any ideas as to why decimal places wouldn't add up the same... I believe both are looking at DABS.
Thanks

Good morning. I am trying to get the counselor name on the report card and it will not display the value. I created a custom page, U_Students_Extension.Counselor. I placed the ~ in front yet on the report card it says Counselor: None. Am I missing something?

Blake Stein

1. Confirm that the following text was entered in The Counselor preference box on the Report Card setup page.
~([students.U_Students_Extension]counselor)

2. Confirm that you that you have populated the counselor field.

3. If the student report card displays "None", navigate to the counselor screen for that student and check the counselor name entered .

Thank you. That worked. I evidently did not have the correct code.

When i navigate to Setup/School Setup/ I don't see the following sections: Report Card/PSCB Custom Report Card Setup

what am I missing?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Do you think you will add the option to print in Period or Homeroom order? I know I can pull up each home room individually but takes quite a bit of time.

Karen Baars

Are you using Mass Print to print the report cards? If yes, sorting and printing by homeroom is not an option with that plugin.

Also I noticed that for a school that is just a 1 term school (ELEM), but we do have Final Grade Reporting terms setup for Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4 that it does not display the attendance correctly for that grading period. If I had 2 absences for Q1 and had 0 absences for Q2 it would copy what the absences that I had from the previous Quarter to the other Quarters. But the actual YTD absences display correctly. Now if I set that school up as a 4 term school, it then will display the absences correctly for the individual quarters. Being an elementary that is something we really don't want to do. Just adds extra work, especially when you have 89 schools to have to maintain. Thanks! Other than that I love this report card it looks great!

Karen Baars

The report card use the date ranges from the terms created in the Years and Terms setup for each school.

If you want Q1-Q4 attendance totals to appear on the report card, you need to create the terms in the Years and Terms setup.

Hi
Have you considered adding the ability to add GPA calcs on the report card? Our high school would use this report card if the GPAs were added. Just curious. Thank you.

GPA Calcs will be included in the next release of the report card plugin. No publish date at this time.

I currently have v1.3 of the plugin installed and have had no issues. Friday, I updated the plugin to v1.9.1. I received a phone call from the High School office that students with a manually entered grade in the historical grades tab was no longer showing the grades for the course. The course displays, but the grades are blank. These are courses the students did not take at the district, so the courses do not exist in our catalog.

I went ahead and reverted back to v1.3 and the grades for the manually entered courses display properly.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We will investigate the cause and provide a fix in the next update of the plugin.

I have identified the cause, but need more information on how you are entering the grades from another district.

Thank you for looking into this. I apologize, I have not been in to check for any responses to my initial comment. If you are still available, let me know a day/time that works for you and I will send a Zoom invite.

Love this plug in. Recently a parent reported that they cannot use the print icon to print the report card, that the print screen also does not work - report card comes out blank page. I tried it on a test student, and have the same issue. I can see the report card online, but cannot print. Any ideas? I am running the most recent version (1.9 I think). I cannot find any setting that would prohibit printing. I did a work around by saving the version from SIS to a pdf, but would like parents to be able to print if they need to - we do not mail home report cards.

Thank you!

Hi Rob,
My YTD Days Absent *DABs totals are good. But for some reason the section Meeting Absence counts are doubling. I have PSCB base resource version 3.6.1 and PSCB Customization Std report card version 1.9.1 and PS SIS version 21.4.5.3.220562223.

Do theses classes meet on multiple periods on a given day. If this the case, when the teacher enters an absent code it is being assigned to each period. So if the class meets for two periods, the absent count will be two.

There are ways to avoid this from happening using section meeting preferences. You should contact tech support for assistance.

Thanks for the reply. I have double checked and the sections are only covering a single period. The attendance is showing correctly on the Attendance Page, Quick Lookup Page, and on the absences listed for the Stored Grades in Historical grades. It is somehow just doubled on the report card.

Thanks for your help,
Ben

I need more information to investigate this issue.

I have 2 students (that I know of at this time) at 1 school that when printing report card it is duplicating course 4 times. Along with that it is taking grades from other courses and showing those grades for the duplicates. Courses that are being duplicated are only those that have been manually entered on historical grades page. Ex. student has Algebra with grade of 90, Biology with grade of 95, History with grade of 89 and English with grade of 92. It is duplicating all of these 4 times and Algebra will show a grade of 90, 95, 89 and 92 as would Biology, History , and English. Also to note that when printing a transcript for student, all course show correctly as 1 entry with 1 grade. This is only happening when printing report card.
Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?

Please confirm that you have the PSCB - Customization (Std Report Card) v1.9.1 plugin installed.

I will need I need more information to investigate this issue if you continue to see this issue.

Yes, I have v1.9.1 installed for the PSCB - Customization (STD Report Card).

I'll send zoom invite shortly for Monday 4/4 at 11:00 am (EST)/9:00 am (CST).

Thank you!

Sorry, invite should be for 11:00 am est/10:00 am cst time. Unless you want to zoom an hour earlier? :)

I installed the plugin and when going to Report Card for a student in the Admin portal, I can see the report card generate grades for my selected terms, but if I log in as a parent or student, the Report Card doesn't have any classes or grades. Only the header at the top of the report card. Is there another step for those grades to show in the parent/student portal?

You need to enter the settings for the Parent Portal report card.

To complete the settings navigate to:
Start Page > School Setup > Parent/Student Access > CPP Page Settings
Click on the Enter CPP Report Card preferences link.

New to installing customizations. We are still on the old CRB. Is there a tutorial on installing the new PSCB?

Thank you Rob. I have it installed and now I am looking for Teacher Pass Rate. I thought I read it is included in one of the bundles but I am having trouble finding it.

The Teacher Pass Rate was part of the old CRB report bundles. The report is no longer supported by the original developers and is not included in the PSCB plugin library.

I added this report to the PSCB enhancement list.

Hello there - so I recently just got this plug-in and I am setting up the report card for the new year (2022-2023) but in the past we used Object Reports and had a footer towards the bottom. I cut and paste it at the end of the report card (School Message) but it does not appear when I tried to run a report card for a student.....any suggestions on how to get it to work, I thank you in advance.

Good morning - I was out last week but thank you for getting back to me on this. I am back in the office and I could meet either Wednesday or Thursday of this week if that works for you all. I really like this plug-in. So thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

Everything on the report card is displaying correctly, except Tardies are displaying 0 for every student. If I run an "ADA/ADM by Student report", the Tardy information is correctly calculated and displayed on the attendance report, so I am confident the attendance is set up correctly in our PS instance. Wondering if there is something I am possibly missing? I confirmed that the Report card settings are correct multiple times. I've even tried unchecking and rechecking the tardy settings on the report card setup page.

Thank you in advance.

Select a School
Navigate to School/Setup/Attendance Codes
Click on one of the Tardy codes
Confirm that the Code Category Tardy Box is checked.
Report process for all tardy codes at each school.
