Insertfile code not working

I am editing the Parent Demo Update page and I am trying to insert code from another file by using ~[x:insertfile;somepage.html] and when ever I do the page breaks (guardian header is not inserted from ~[wc:guardian_header] code). The same piece of code works just fine in custom pages on the admin portal but not on the parent portal?
