Custom Reports Bundle Attendance

This plugin will add the attendance reports to the custom reports bundle base. Note: the base plugin will need to be installed before you will see these reports automatically appear.

What's New in Version 4.1.1
Return of the export buttons. Also added some "make current selection of students" buttons when applicable.

Hi Jason,

Can you check Attendance Frequency Report and see if make current selection button works for you. I am unable to get it to make the results of students my current selection. Currently the buttons doesn't click.

Yes, it's missing a script reference. I've fixed it for the next release but I'll hold off on posting until we know for sure there aren't anymore problems with attendance.

I just downloaded this bundle and I don't see Student Attendance List report. I only see 5 reports. Is that right? Also, some are in a red box. what does that mean? Sorry, I am new to Bundles and Plugins.

Hey Jason,

We have started the new school year, and I upgraded my reports to the latest CRB bundle. When trying to run the Student Attendance List report, and checking the Daily button, nothing shows for my schools. I ran the old report and it did work. I did make sure the pause box was unchecked too. Is there something I can do on my end to make this work?

I first added the reports bundle base for 7.11 and higher and then the attendance plugin. I have no submit button for the reports. What do you think I did wrong?

The Student Attendance List is not printing all pages for Meeting Attendance. I have a student who should have 100 or more days included on their Meeting attendance, list, but only one page prints (52 per page). Any ideas or solutions would be helpful.

FYI - this seems to be a problem with Mozilla Firefox. It prints correctly in Chrome. Since Firefox is our preferred browser, I'd like to figure out the problem, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it.

I have the most recent version of the custom report bundle and I have a question about the Teacher Pass Rate Dashboard report. We have a teacher that has a student that got an F in one of his classes for Semester 1 class yet the teacher has a 100% passing rate.
What can I look for to trouble shoot this?

My current PowerSchool version: 8.2.2.0.

A meta tag specifies the preview content as

<meta name="preview" content="mar_preview.html" />

But when the modal dialog opens, no content. Right-click/View Image Info shows an invalid image link. It looks to me like this comes from line 293 of customreports.html which is trying to append the content of mar_preview.html as image tag:

$jpreview_dialog.append('<img src="'+previewSource+'" />');

The resulting content is a placeholder for a non-existent image:

<img src="https://.../admin/reports/CRB/attendance/mar_preview.html" />

Thoughts?

The RegEx pattern being tested is incorrect. Line 289 of customreports.html should be changed:

From:
if(/html$j/.test(previewSource)){
To:
if(/html/.test(previewSource)){

Perhaps a dumb question, but in an older version of this report I could export to CSV. Is that still possible or am I missing something?

I was right, it was a dumb question.
From the 4.0 release notes from April of 14: The export to csv, pdf, etc buttons have been removed temporarily. We hope to put them back in soon but to speed things up we left them off for this release.

1. There is a button at the bottom to refresh the report list. This only shows up if you are in group 9. If not you must wait. How long you will need to wait depends on if you are CPM or custom/web_root.

2. Are you saying attendance reports aren't showing but others are?

3. Is the base installed? If not NOTHING will work.

4. Installing plugins will look like it's doing what it needs even if you have CPM off. Do you know for sure that CPM is on?

We must have a few old custom attendance pages installed in our PowerSchool. I didn't know we add any custom reports/pages but I called support and they said PowerSchool does not have a page in the teacher portal where the teachers can see the previous and current attendance by scrolling through the weeks and printed a teacher verification of attendance for the week. I think I've narrowed it down to custom pages/reports from PowerData Solutions. Anyway I fond on one of the pages . The page is unpredictable now. Shows the wrong dates when you try to scroll it has no dates at all and the report doesn't print out correctly either. Is there anyone that can help me this problem. How to correct the page???

I can run the student attendance list for meeting attendance for a single student but when I click the box for Daily, I get the following error: “DataTables warning (table id = 'table1'): Requested unknown parameter '1' from the data source for row 0”, if the student does not have any absences. The previous version of this report bundle showed Daily attendance even if the student had no absences.

Just installed the CRB and attempted to run the report for a specific date range, with all absent codes rather than all attendance, also with show daily checked and received the same error. I assumed it failed at that point, after checking back to see if anyone had a similar issue I read your comment. I ran with show meeting instead and waited while it processed. A little under a minute later I had results, so I decided to run the show daily again and let it sit. A long while later I still have not seen any results. Did yours eventually complete or is it stalling after the error?

When running Student Attendance List for our high school, it either hangs with "Searching for your results" forever or occasionally throws the error “DataTables warning (table id = 'table1'): Requested unknown parameter '1' from the data source for row 0”

It was working fine last week.

Any thoughts?

Just wanted to follow up that I got ours working again. In the stdAttList.html file in admin/reports/crb/attendance, there's a line that says

<option value=''>All Students</option>

I added in the word All in the quote so it now says

<option value='All'>All Students</option>

and re-published the file. Now the report works properly.

I have installed the attendance bundle, but the Student Attendance Range Report does not return any data in daily or meeting mode. All of the other reports work fine. So far I have

1. Check all attendance code status to make sure they are correct.
2. Recalculated attendance

Any suggestions?

When we run this report it pulls students that are no longer active and have transferred out of the school because they had this code during the date range. Is there anyway to get it to only pull active students?

The Student Attendance List report works great. However, when I use the Copy/CVS/PDF/etc. buttons it has showshowshowshow... in the Att School column after the school name. This only happens in Meeting and doesn't display on the screen. It's only when I use the buttons. How do I get it to stop doing that?

Did you figure this out? We just installed and get the same result. I did find that If we hide the att school column the showshowshow does not appear. We would like to use the school name on this report.

We just updated to PowerSchool 9.2.2 and installed the new Custom Reports Bundles Plugins. One of the reports our offices use is the Student Attendance List Report. They use both the Daily and Meeting. Daily is working fine for us but we can't get the Meeting to work. It just keeps Searching for your results.
How can I get it to work for Meeting?

Has anyone encountered an issue where the Attendance Frequency Report works for one school (an elementary that uses period attendance) but not another (a Year Round elementary school that uses the same abs codes)?

We've got Base 4.1.4 and the 4.1.1 Attendance plugin installed.

Running the Att Freq Report with "All Absent codes" for a date range with freq limit works just fine with our traditional elementary, however, running the same report in our Year Round Elementary that is set up the same way (but with less students) causes the report to 'stall' and the only way to recover is to refresh the page. Selecting individual absence codes will provide results. I've tried to run different combinations to identify if there is a particular code that is responsible but I haven't found it. Again, same search criteria/variables work just fine with the traditional school.

Any advice?

We have a new attendance secretary who wants to be able to use the Absence Summary Report that was a customized report used by the district where she used to work. I contacted their tech director, and was told it was part of the Attendance CRB. I installed the CRB Base and the CRB Attendance plugins, and I see attendance reports, but not the one she wants. She even sent me a screenshot that shows the customized menu on the student screen on the left with "Absence Summary Report" listed just above Functions. Can you tell me anything about it??? Many thanks!

PowerSchool is producing an ORA-00904: "WM_CONCAT": invalid identifier / Invalid code for Oracle error when running this report.

Is there any plan to rewrite this report code using LISTAGG or another Oracle-approved method?

After installing the new release for the custom reports bundle, there are only 3 reports under the attendance tab. 2 reports that were there before aren't:

  • Daily Attendance Summary, which points to /admin/reports/crb/attendance/attCurrentPercent.html
  • Today's Daily Attendance Summary, which points to admin/reports/crb/attendance/todaysAttSummary.html.

The pages are where they should be but are not showing up in the attendance menu as before. Any idea why? I also have 2 Custom Reports tabs.

The CRB Attendance Reports plugin v 4.1.1 is no longer fully supported on PDS.

As alternative, consider installing the PSCB - Custom Reports (Attendance) plugin.

We get this same error when "Show Daily" is checked.

We are able to use it with the Show Meeting option for some schools, while others get stuck at "Searching for your results".

I am having the same issue as many others. When clicking on "Show Daily" I get the “DataTables warning (table id = 'table1'): Requested unknown parameter '1' from the data source for row 0” message (although we use Meeting Attendance). Searching with "Show Meeting" gives me a "searching for your results" message but no results ever show.

We are hosted and on 9.2.4.
